Habitat for Humanity of St. Charles County is hosting a one-day free Homebuyer Readiness class on Saturday, July 18, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 3757 Harry S. Truman Blvd., in St. Charles. The class offers financial coaching skills to assist anyone who is interested in learning how to independently navigate the traditional process of buying a home.

Habitats annual Homebuyer Readiness community outreach is not affiliated with the nonprofits time-honored homeownership program, which provides a hand up opportunity by partnering with local individuals and families to specifically build and buy a Habitat home.

The class will provide resources and activities to set specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound (SMART) goals and community experts will be on hand to help potential homeowners create action plans.
