To help St. Charles County residents and businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic, the St. Charles County web page (https://www.sccmo.org/CommunityResources) is updated regularly. Additional information is available on the Department of Public Health Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/StCharlesCountyPublicHealth/). Volunteers are available to respond to questions and concerns about COVID-19 at 636-949-1899 (staffed from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday), and nurses from the Missouri Health Department also are available 24/7 at 877-435-8411. The Dept. St. Charles County has joined the St. Louis Metropolitan Pandemic Task Force, partnering with the City of St. Louis, St. Louis County, BJC HealthCare, Mercy, SSM Health and St. Luke’s Hospital to slow the transmission of COVID-19 and help save lives in this region. People with an addiction are being impacted by COVID-19 in many ways, but the community is working on continuing crucial treatment. Addiction Center treatment specialists are available at (855) 591-1977 with INFORMATION ON COVID-19 AND REHAB, including where to go for rehab, how to pay, safety and how COVID-19 has impacted rehab. Advent Behavioral Care (formerly Advent Medical Group and Alternative Behavioral Care) has immediate telehealth appointments for PSYCHIATRY, COUNSELING AND INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT GROUP THERAPY programs for adults and teens. All appointments are through a secure online portal easily accessed on their website. Call 636.939.2550 for psychiatry and 636.477.6111 for counseling and intensive outpatient programs.

Struggling with alcohol addiction? www.alcoholhelp.com/treatment/ is a great resource for helping individuals struggling with alcohol misuse during this ongoing pandemic.

A leading health concern in America is alcoholism, which affects nearly 14 million people. AlcoholRehabGuide.org is an organization that focuses on producing high quality substance abuse and recovery content. This website was founded on a passion to help people in need, and knowing that the right resources can make the difference in someones life. The Alzheimer's Association is offering free programs, including education classes, support groups and individualized care planning sessions, virtually and by phone. Visit alz.org/mohelp for details on offerings, along with caregiving tips, coping strategies, and links to online resources specifically related to Covid-19. Their 24/7 Helpline is also available to answer specific questions at 800.272.3900.

BJC Behavioral Health is providing continued service to clients during this time by phone rather than face-to-face. BJC's Same Day Access team will assess anyone interested in starting services. To schedule an initial appointment, or to inquire about access to facilities and services, please call 877.729.4004.

CenterPointe Hospital is available to help individuals who may be experiencing SYPMPTOMS OF SEVERE DEPRESSION, SEVERE ANXIETY, ISOLATION, GRIEF AND LOSS, POST TRAUMATIC STRESS OR SUBSTANCE USE due to the COVID-19 restrictions. CenterPointe is also admitting patients for VIRTUAL OUTPATIENT THERAPY. Patients can receive therapy services from the comfort of their own home using a PC, smartphone or tablet. CenterPointe's HEALING FOR HEROES program provides virtual outpatient therapy for first responders, veterans and active duty military, with a focus primarily on PTSD and trauma experienced by the public servants who have cared for us. All virtual systems comply with federal and state health care privacy regulations, meet HIPAA-compliant telemedicine standards, and are secure and are supervised by a team of licensed, experienced professionals who provide the same evidence-based treatment programming as the in-person equivalent. To provide support for Missouri residents during the COVID-19 pandemic, Christian Counseling Connection LLC is offering the TALK TIME 20/20, an opportunity to sample telehealth counseling sessions in an affordable and convenient way. After the first FREE consultation session, for new clients in Missouri, clients may schedule additional 20-minute sessions for $20 private pay, or they can consult with their counselor about a plan that best meets their needs, including insurance options. Compass Health Network
 has launched a new immediate ACCESS/DISASTER HOTLINE, in addition to its 24-hour crisis hotline. For a 5-Minute Mental Health Checklist, CLICK HERE. Eye Thrive provides free vision screenings, eye exams and prescription glasses to children in the St. Louis region and has announced that, due to Covid-19, it will make and ship FREE PRESCRIPTION GLASSES to any child who: has lost or broken their glasses; is between the ages of 4-18; and has a current, valid prescription (issued by Eye Thrive doctors or an outside provider). The free KUTO CRISIS HELPLINE314-644-5886 is staffed 24/7 by trained, youth friendly people prepared to help kids and youth de-escalate crisis, find a calm center and feel better able to cope through through the Covid-19 crisis.

The Love Will Foundation has FUNDS AVAILABLE for mental health counseling in our area. In St. Charles County, they utilize St. Louis Family Counseling and Step by Step Counseling for services. For more information, visit www.lovewillfoundation.org.

Mercy is now offering VIDEO AND TELEPHONE VISITS to meet patients' health care needs without waiting for social distancing restrictions to be lifted. Video and phone visits allow patients to meet with their provider, securely and confidentially and are available at all Mercy Clinics and Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care centers. The Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services has a variety of resources available, including GUIDES FOR SELF CARE, coping ang managing stress, simple visualizations and information for helping children cope with Covid-19. NAMI (the National Alliance for Mental Health) has prepared a MENTAL HEALTH GUIDE to help people deal with the stressors of COVID-19. Liquor sales have been spiking and trends of substance use are on the rise. Rehab Spot is not a treatment center, but a public web guide sharing INFORMATION ON DRUGS, ALCOHOL, ADDICTION AND RECOVERY. Their webpage at www.rehabspot.com/COVID-19www.rehabspot.com/COVID-19 talks about implications of substance use during the pandemic and links to numerous other pages of research about addiction and recovery.

Feeling anxious? Call the SAMHSA helpline at 1-800-985-5990. Look out for these common SIGNS OF DISTRESS: Feelings of numbness, disbelief, anxiety or fear; Changes in appetite, energy, and activity levels; Difficulty concentrating; Difficulty sleeping or nightmares and upsetting thoughts and images; Physical reactions, such as headaches, body pains, stomach problems, and  skin rashes; Worsening of chronic health problems; Anger or short-temper;  and Increased use of alcohol, tobacco, or other drugs.

SSM Behavioral Health's Central Intake Team is accepting referrals and admissions. SSM Health Behavioral Health Services can be reached by calling: BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CENTRAL INTAKE (24/7) at (800) 428-2083 and SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER INTAKE at (888) 949-7150. If your referral call is transferred to voicemail, please leave a message and an Intake representative will contact you within 24 hours (Monday-Friday) to complete a confidential assessment. SSM Health is offering VIRTUAL VISITS and free VIRTUAL EVALUATIONS for anyone who is concerned they may be experiencing symptoms of, or may have been exposed to, COVID-19. All residents of Missouri and Illinois (regardless of insurance or if they are a current SSM Health patient) are eligible for this free evaluation, which can be accessed at https://ssmhealth.zipnosis.com/

The Salvation Army is providing a range of emergency assistance, social services, and emergency disaster services during the Covid-19 crisis, including an EMOTIONAL AND SPIRITUAL CARE HOTLINE that's available 24/7 at 816-968-0497.

Due to our community's increased need for low cost counseling, Step By Step Counseling will have additional graduate counseling interns on site. Interns are available to work with clients both in person and virtually. Anyone in our community qualifies to work with a Stepping Stones therapist! They are available to work with adolescents & adults, and are qualified in helping clients with stressors at work or school, grief, relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, couples counseling, etc. Cost is $15-$30/session. If you or someone you know is interested in working with one of the Stepping Stones therapists please contact Step By Step Counseling's office to schedule an appointment! The intake appointment or first session at the Counseling and Social Advocacy Center @ UMSL is completely free for all clients, with no obligation to continue thereafter. Through May, TELEHEALTH SERVICES are offered free of charge, and beginning June 1, individual, couples and family counseling is available for $30/session. The Crossroads Clinic Volunteers in Medicine in Lake St. Louis provides free medical care in Warren, Lincoln, Montgomery, and Western St. Charles County for residents who are not covered by Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance and who live at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines. They are currently treating patients in office as well as via phone. The clinic is open Tuesdays and Thursdays 9am-1pm. The clinic is located at 10714 Veterans Memorial Parkway inside the First Bank Building in Lake St. Louis. The phone number is 636-561-3133. The Volunteers In Medicine Clinic in St. Charles at 1039 S. Duchesne, St Charles, is continuing to be open, with restrictions, through the current virus pandemic. The clinic is not allowing patients inside; however, clients may make appointments, and the nurses and providers will provide TELE-MEDICINE CALLS to patients on a scheduled day and time. The clinic also continues to provide medications to patients by passing them outside the door. If you have questions or need services, call the clinic on Mondays or Wednesdays at 636-724-4848.

The Missouri Department of Labor has posted a COVID-19 page with information on UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION and other work-related issues during the COVID-19 crisis. View the page at https://labor.mo.gov/coronavirus

The COMMUNITY CARES ACT provides a variety of supports for people experiencing financial hardships due to COVID-19, including housing and prevention assistance. The Nonprofit Times has published CARES Act: A Guide to Financial Resources for Nonprofits, a detailed guide to loans and other programs available through the CARES Act, including uses, restrictions and how to apply. Due to COVID-19, the Department of Social Services is experiencing an influx of applications for benefits such as FOOD STAMPS, MEDICAID, CHILD CARE and TANF. Review this infographic for a better understanding to see if you may qualify for benefits. http://ow.ly/d/8nFE

To help business navigate the vast information relating to COVID-19, the Greater St. Charles Chamber of Commerce has included links on its website to some of the more important websites that will help you, your business, and our community through the current crisis. Be sure to check out the U.S. Chamber's "Coronavirus Emergency Loans Small Business Guide and Checklist" for answers to questions you may have regarding the THE CORONAVIRUS AID, RELIEF, AND ECONOMIC SECURITY (CARES) ACT. The Chamber has also provided links to application information for Paycheck Protection Loans and COVID-19 Economic Injury Disaster Loans, including this infographic with information on each type of loan. Information about how nonprofits can apply for and utilize these loan programs is available on the Kresge Foundation website.

The St. Louis City Office of Financial Empowerment has released a list of FINANCIAL AND OTHER RESOURCES available in the St. Louis metro area, including information on loans, taxes, mortgages and more. CLICK HERE to see the complete list of resources.


FOOD ASSISTANCE

For anyone in need of FOOD, the St. Louis Area Foodbank has set up a page to help at https://stlfoodbank.org/covid19/. You can search to find a food pantry near you, larger distribution events in your area and for those who might be losing income, how to get help applying for SNAP (Food Stamps). The food bank is also in need of volunteers in its Volunteer Center and donations of food and funds.

Operation Food Search has a map of all available CHILD MEAL SITES on its Emergency Response 2020 web page. You'll also find information about how to get help during this crisis and how to give help to others. Operation Food Search updates the page regularly with new information. Agape in Warrenton is offering COVID-19 MEAL DELIVERY SERVICE to kids 18 and under on Tuesdays and Thursdays. CLICK HERE for location information.

O.A.S.I.S. Food Pantry is open for inside check-in for food distribution: Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 7:00pm. – 8:30pm and Thursday and Saturday mornings, 10:00am – 11:30am  Check out their website: oasisfoodpantry.com for detailed information.

Sts. Joachim and Ann Care Service's FOOD PANTRY is doing drive-thru service on Tuesdays and Thursdays. To participate, call 636-441-1302 or visit www.jacares.org for more information.

The Immaculate Heart of Mary St. Vincent DePaul FOOD PANTRY is open from 9 - 10:30 a.m. on the first and third Saturdays of the month. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they ask that participants remain in their vehicles, and volunteers will collect their information and bring their food order. The pantry is located at 8 W Hwy D, New Melle. MO 63365, on the Parish grounds in the chapel basement. A 24/7 helpline is available at 636-398-5270 ext. 225.

MU Extension has created the MISSOURI FOOD FINDER online tool to help local farmers, growers and suppliers enter basic information about the food they sell, their hours, location and contact information. Please visit www.MOFoodFinder.org or AllThingsMissouri.org for more information.

FISH of St. Charles County is open for FOOD REFERRALS and services to help fill the overwhelming need in our community. FISH serves food, practicing social distancing rules, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. until 10:30. They are accepting food donations, but are not open to the public for any other activity. If you have questions, please call 314-447-5482 or 314-323-7701.

EMERGENCY CHILDCARE

The YMCA will be offering EMERGENCY CHILDCARE for families of first responders, medical personnel and other essential staff in our community. In St. Charles County, services will be provided at the O'Fallon location. For more infomration, CLICK HERE.

Child Care Aware is providing resources for First Responders, Health Care Workers, and Essential Personnel in need of CHILD CARE. CLICK HERE for more information or call 866-892-3228 to find child care in your community.

The Crisis Nursery's 24-HOUR HELPLINE will remain available for the duration of the COVID-19 crisis in order to offer crisis intervention, resource referral, and parenting support to families around the clock. The helplines for St. Charles County are: (St. Charles) 636-947-0600, (West) 636-940-2504 and (Wentzville) 636-887-3070. At this time, Crisis Nursery is continuing to offer emergency respite care with enhanced safety protocols for children, 0-12 years old, who are facing an immediate safety concern. Any change in status will be communicated to the community. The Family Empowerment Program remains available to provide resource referral, crisis intervention, parenting support, and mental health support via phone or telehealth.

Gateway Human Trafficking and the Lake St. Louis Police Department are COLLECTING PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT to be distributed among area law enforcement agencies. Now it's more important than ever for agencies making contact with children and their families to be observant and vigilant in reporting suspected abuse. The Child Center is hosting a VIRTUAL MANDATED REPORTER TRAINING at no cost.
